Purchasing Manager

TreowGroup Recruitment partners with small to mid-sized food and beverage manufacturers across Ontario. We are currently building a network of experienced Purchasing and Procurement professionals in anticipation of upcoming opportunities within the industry.

What We Typically See in These Roles:

• Procurement of raw materials (ingredients, protein, produce, dry goods)
• Packaging sourcing and supplier negotiation
• Vendor management and contract negotiation
• Cost savings initiatives and margin improvement strategies
• Inventory control and demand planning collaboration
• Cross-functional work with QA, Operations, Finance, and R&D
• Managing supplier audits and ensuring food safety compliance
• ERP/MRP system utilization for purchasing and forecasting


Ideal Background:

• 5+ years of purchasing experience within food manufacturing
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills
• Experience managing commodity fluctuations
• Understanding of CFIA, GFSI, SQF, BRC, or HACCP environments
• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (CPIM/SCMP considered an asset)
