TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Barrie-area client, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for a current open position.  
 

About the Company:

Our Client is a proudly Canadian tools and fasteners retailer that has been serving construction professionals for over 30 years, with three locations across Niagara, Hamilton, and Barrie. With the Barrie branch currently being renovated and restocked to meet growing demand, this role offers an exciting opportunity to grow an established customer base and help take the business to the next level for an ambitious, personable sales professional who knows tools, fasteners, and safety gear.
 

As the Outside Sales Representative, you will enjoy:

  • Compensation of $55 - $75 (Base salary plus commission)

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Sales Leadership Through Action: Take ownership of key accounts and sales activity in the region, setting the standard through strong customer engagement and follow-through.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with commercial and industrial customers, serving as a trusted and knowledgeable point of contact.
  • New Account Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Barrie area, focusing on long-term, service-driven relationships.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales and counter staff, sharing product knowledge, market insights, and customer feedback to support consistent service.
  • Operational & Sales Support: Assist with quoting, pricing discussions, product sourcing, and inventory coordination to ensure smooth and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and insights to improve sales processes, customer experience, and overall business performance.


You’ll Be a Great Fit if You Possess:

  • Strong knowledge of construction and industrial products, including power tools, power tool accessories, fasteners, screws, bolts, anchors, abrasives, and safety supplies.
  • Proven experience managing customer accounts and opening new business through relationship-based selling.
  • Comfortable walking into any shop or jobsite and develop new contacts and business
  • The ability to estimate pricing, understand project needs, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers and internal teams.
  • Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • You enjoy a fast-paced, hands-on work environment and bring physical stamina, including the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • You hold a valid G driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract.
